A zine part of my undergrad thesis, exploring the overusage of the term Manic Pixie Dream Girl. Currently, the trope boils down to simply a quirky love interest, despite it’s specific initial definition. Many actresses and characters are accused of being an Manic Pixie Dream Girl and are sequientally put down for being one despite barely fitting the requirments of one. By personifying everyday objects as my own Manic Pixie Dream Girls, viewers are left to question what truly is a Manic Pixie Dream Girl?
