Commisioned by the OCAD Student Union, I was tasked to design the 14 content pages and front/back cover of the handbook that followed accessibility issues. Inspired by the SU’s mission statement of equality and the “OCAD, WHY YOU ANGRY?” installation, the handbook is inspired by zine aesthetics to help align the beliefs of the SU with a mode of communication used within leftist communities. Through use of brand colours and graphics, the handbook is meant to be a welcoming guide for new students to be introduced to what the SU has to offer in resources and support.
